Talitha Toews

songwriter, worship leader, recording artist and Vocalist

Talitha Toews is a Paraguayan singer-songwriter and touring artist whose passion for music was sparked at a young age. The daughter of singer-songwriter David Toews, Talitha began performing early, joining her father on tour at just 12 years old. Her love for music and ministry grew as she helped at his concerts in any way she could, eventually stepping into leadership by co-leading a youth worship band at 17 and releasing her debut EP, Lift Your Head Weary Sinner.

At 18, Talitha moved to Canada, where she continued her involvement in church worship ministries and supported her father’s concerts and recording projects. Her pursuit of spiritual depth led her to Europe, where she studied the theology of worship at a discipleship school “Momentum College”. Upon returning to Canada, she led worship and taught at workshops in Manitoba, including sessions at the “Mennonite Conference about the Holy Spirit” and a 2024 training event for a young church titled How to Lead Worship?

In 2022, Talitha enrolled in the Songwriting and Recording program at Prairie College under the mentorship of Denis Baptista. She graduated in 2025, releasing her second EP, Traveler, as part of her final year. During her studies, she served as a teaching assistant for Baptista, led worship regularly for Prairie College chapel, and held a worship leader role with the “Takeover Teams,” leading worship at churches and youth conferences such as Deeper. As well as took courses in Bible, vocal courses such as “Applications of Voice Science for Singers and Educators” taught by Talita Louzada.

In 2025, she was honored to join a choir performance of Gloria Te Deum at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Talitha continues to grow as a worship leader, songwriter, and performer—opening for David Toews in concerts, recording new music, and deepening her study of worship and songwriting.
